There is no shortage of green and leafy, outdoor space at Childwall C of E Primary so we were delighted to be invited to support the development of a Prayer Trail set in their grounds. In particular, we focused on giving thanks and having spent a day with Year 4 exploring the things in our lives that we might sometimes take for granted but which we wouldn’t want to be without – with health, family and friends coming out on top – we set about laying out some designs for clay flowers.
The flowers will adorn a quiet, shady corner of the schoolyard that houses a garden of remembrance for an ex pupil. It is hoped that they will serve as a reminder for future generations of pupils to pause and take a moment to give thanks.
