Exploring the World of Explorers

From Leif Erikson to Neil Armstrong, this workshop introduces KS1 /P1 – P3 pupils to some landmark people and moments in the history of global exploration.

Introduction

Pupils will consider what it takes to be a great explorer (including remembering the need to respect other cultures) and engage in drama activities unveiling some set-piece expeditions.

How many pupils can take part?

Exploring the World of Explorers can accommodate up to 30 pupils per workshop. 

What is the format of the day?

Workshops, 1 per class, together with – if you wish it – and opening assembly.

Are there any technical requirements?

Each working space needs to be equipped with laptop, screen or projector, so pupils can view the supporting PowerPoint throughout.

Where will the workshops take place?

These workshops can take place in a classroom or school hall.
