Specifically developed to support students gain both confidence and skills in analysing unseen poetry, The Art of Analysis introduces them to three of the keystones of literary analysis (theme, events and traditions) - then guides them through an ideas-generating process allowing them to write their own poems.
At the end of which, working to specific criteria, they analyse each other's work. And, as an added bonus, it can all be linked to a fictional text that they're studying!
Suitable for Year 9 - 11 students, working in groups of up to 45 at a time - in workshops lasting a minimum of 90 minutes.
