“There was a definite buzz from the pupils.  They enjoyed being outside and using their maths skills. It was clear that the students were using a wide range of maths skills, from numeracy to reasoning, without realising it.   I was particularly delighted to see my Year 4 children using measuring skills, data handling, problem-solving, shape, which I have taught so far this year and using appropriate vocabulary and ‘maths talk’.   It made maths come more alive for them.
