School Workshops Birmingham
Birmingham schools, of course – and schools across the Midlands, access the full range of our workshops. But our whole-school programmes supporting moments of national significance (Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Charles III’s coronation and the 80th anniversary of VE Day) always prove particularly popular in the region!
We offer a diverse range of creative curriculum workshops covering subjects including; Maths, STEM, Science, History, Shakespeare and Poetry to all Birmingham primary, secondary and special schools.
We work across all areas of Birmingham and The West Midlands througout the school year.

Enrichment Week
As all schools know, education isn’t just about the National Curriculum. Children and young people can learn huge amounts from other approaches too. So Birchfield School mounts a Enrichment Week every spring, with As Creatives delivering themed workshops to every year group from Reception to Year 10! Themes so far have included Enterprise Education and Combatting Climate Change.

British Science Week
Every year, we design a new series of workshops to tie in with the theme of British Science Week. And with Birmingham rapidly becoming an international hub of science innovation, these programmes are extremely popular with schools in the region. Having already enjoyed Time for Science (2024) and The Science of Change (2025), with lots of schools already booked for Curious About Science for 2026!
The Trading Game
Big, noisy and incredibly engaging, The Trading Game provides an opportunity for up to sixty students at a time to participate in a frenetic but content-rich approach to maths. It’s a real favourite in Birmingham, with Hodge Hill College regularly booking the day for their Year 7s!

birmingham Schools Teacher FEEDBACK
“Thank you to you and your team for running such an engaging, challenging and successful event on Friday. The students seemed to really enjoy it and I’m sure the staff did too!”
“The poems look amazing and I am really excited to send these home with the children. The day was a huge success and the teachers really enjoyed the CPD. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.”
“Across the school, the children thoroughly enjoyed the workshops as they could be creative and active. There were lots of smiles on faces from children in Reception all the way up to Year 6! The children appreciated being taught about their chosen scientist through a drama-based activity that was away from the classroom environment. They also worked well together in teams in order to discuss and listen to each other’s thoughts and ideas which is an invaluable skill.”
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to Jackson for his delivery of our Shakespeare poetry workshop…the students have really enjoyed learning about Shakespeare in a very active way. All members of staff were very impressed with Jackson and have all commented on how they cannot wait to use some of the techniques to inform their future practice. I’m sure we will be looking to work with you again in the future.”
“Thanks to Jackson for his delivery and expertise. Staff spoke extremely positively about the CPD and all shared how much fun they had at staff meeting!”
“We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from across the year groups — the workshops were thoroughly enjoyed by all pupils involved. The children were fully engaged throughout and responded brilliantly to Chris’s creative and energetic presentation style. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and answered questions in a way that really captured the children’s interest. The physical elements of the workshop were particularly effective for the younger year groups, providing a fantastic opportunity to develop teamwork skills — we were genuinely impressed by how well they collaborated.”
