Workshops for Aim Higher, West Midlands

“Across the school, the children thoroughly enjoyed the workshops as they could be creative and active. There were lots of smiles on faces from children in Reception all the way up to Year 6! The children appreciated being taught about their chosen scientist through a drama-based activity that was away from the classroom environment. They also worked well together in teams in order to discuss and listen to each other’s thoughts and ideas which is an invaluable skill.”

“The workshops helped students to become more confident with problem-solving and reasoning skills using a hands-on approach. It encouraged children to work collaboratively with others and approach mathematical challenges with confidence and resilience. It also helped to push those greater depth mathematicians. It also showed children, who may not find maths easy, that it can be enjoyable. They also enjoyed the crime storyline. Chris was great delivering and interacting with the children in the workshop. He was very animated in the delivery of the story line which helped to hook the children in – especially Year 6!”
