July 20th will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the first human beings on the moon, marking Neil Armstrong's historic first steps onto the lunar landscape.

And we've a whole host of programmes to help you celebrate, including Journeys into Space, The Story of Flight and Time Travel Tourists. With Time Travel Tourists, your school will play host for the day to either Margaret Hamilton (who led the team behind the software making the Apollo 11 mission possible) or astronaut Armstrong himself! Your Tourist will meet everyone at an opening assembly, then work with a number of classes in highly experiential, drama-based workshops exploring both the scientific and human stories behind this landmark event.

“Our pupils absolutely loved having “Neil Armstrong” in school for the day, the workshops were really engaging and further embedded the pupils’ knowledge about the moon and the moon landing. It was a brilliant day that the children thoroughly enjoyed." Canons Primary School

And we've also designed some amazing Apollo 11 FactFiles for you, which are absolutely free to download!
