Specifically designed to bring learning to life and give pupils exciting opportunities to practise and develop their skills, our Maths and Literacy Trails feature a wealth of engaging and meaningful activities. Perfect for outdoor spaces, they can be easily adapted for indoor use on rainy days – and have been developed with differentiation in mind. Although we have a wide range of “off the peg” resources, we’re also skilled in working with you to develop your own – and can also design and deliver appropriate, enjoyable and affordable staff training.

Magical Maths Trails

Engaging, Flexible and Differentiated Resources

One of the most effective ways of fostering a deeper understanding of maths is through the use of practical resources – and that’s not us speaking, but Ofsted! (Made to Measure, 2012)  What we have done, though is to design engaging, flexible and differentiated resources that can be trailed indoors or out.

Ten Boxes – And Limitless Applications!

Each resource set comes in its own see-through box – and has everything you need, including instructions, to stimulate your pupils’ appetite for maths. There are ten boxes, each exploring a different area – all you have to do is select the box or boxes you want!

You can choose from Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Number Patterns, 2D Shapes, 3D Shapes, Measurements, Angles or Data Handling.

“Fantastic activities – accessible to all age and ability ranges!” (Pastoral Leader, Parklands High.  Liverpool)

There are three ways you can buy a Magical Maths Trail …

  1. Simply order the resources you want – then get cracking when they arrive …
  2. Book a CPD Day in school – where we introduce the Trail to all staff and train them in its use …
  3. Book a Delivery Day in school – where we model the Trail with a number of year groups.

The Wonder of Words – A Winning Resource

Helping Pupils Fall in Love with Literacy

English/Literacy activities, boxed up and ready to go – indoors or out? With differentiated resources and structured ideas for future development? Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Especially as it meets Ofsted’s observation that outstanding English teaching   is flexible, responding organically  to pupils’ needs with meaningful tasks providing real audiences and contexts (Moving English Forward, 2012).

Each of our themed boxes contains all the resources you need for a number of exciting and engaging activities that will help you and your students tackle the major requirements of the National Curriculum – and, in interwoven ways, all four modes of English (speaking, listening, reading and writing). We’re great believers in Learning Outside the Classroom, so they’ve been designed for use both indoors and out!

Six Boxes – And Limitless Applications!

Each resource set comes in its own wooden box – and has everything you need, including instructions, to encourage and engage your students in English. There are six boxes, each exploring a different area – all you have to do is select the ones you want!

You can choose from The Wonder of Words, Reliable Reporting, The Power of Poetry, Purposeful Persuasion, Reading Between the Lines or the Drama of Doing.

“Open-ended ideas that we hadn’t thought of before – what a fantastic resource!” (Teacher, Primary Education Centre, Liverpool)

“The activities were differentiated to accommodate a wide range of ages and abilities – and were all hugely engaging!” (Pastoral Leader, Parklands High School)
